Race Across America is a 3000 mile non stop cycle race covering 2 major mountain ranges, the plains of Mid America and the desert. It is one of the most respected and longest running annual endurance events in the world.

It stands as a monument to human endeavours and draws athletes from all corners of the globe. The route climbs for more than 108,000 feet and crosses 15 states.

Once underway the clock does not stop until the finish line is reached.

Welcome to the home of Team 1Heart 1Life. It has been almost a year since the start of our plans to race in RAAM 2009. We will be the first two man team from Ireland to enter this category since the race began some 28 years ago.

It is with this in mind that we plan to set a record for others to follow, one that will require the same dedication and planning that this attempt will have taken.

Follow the progress of the next ten months on the diary section of the website as the team continues in the aim of raising money and awareness for Northern Ireland Chest Heart & Stroke.
